Drawing Artist Statement: My drawings focus on unexpected viewpoints and engage the viewer in an effort to convey societal connections of gratitude while also exploring and communicating beauty, appreciation, and joy in everyday and not-so-everyday experiences. The intent behind these works is to create beauty despite imperfections, with an emphasis on markmaking, the most human element of this type of artwork. My drawing exists in stark opposition to my sculpture work and my color palette is deliberately imaginative and playful. I intentionally create my drawings as whimsical revamps of various scenes in life. The focus in my drawing is always a light-hearted theme and intended for use in public artworks with the goal of bringing people together.

All of my artwork is original. I do not now and never have used Artificial Intelligence (AI) in any of my work. I do not use it and will not use it in any way - not to brainstorm, create, influence, sketch, or design any of my artworks, photography, or writing. All of my artwork is completely original.
